Virginia Wine & Garlic Festival

Rebec Vineyards, 2229 N Amherst Hwy., Amherst, VA

October 10 & 11, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.


Celebrate Virginia wine from 10 wineries paired with garlic-focused cuisine like garlic lobster rolls, garlic fries and garlic burgers! Peruse over 150 arts and crafts vendors, then sit back and listen to local musicians.

Chesapeake Virginia Wine Festival

Chesapeake City Park, 900 Greenbrier Pkwy., Chesapeake VA

October 10, 12 p.m–6 p.m.


Taste from 20 Virginia wineries then check out their stellar vendors like Posh Paint’s hand-painted glassware and Pennacook Peppers’ powders and jellies! There will also be live music and award-winning art on display.

Town Point Virginia Fall Wine Festival

Town Point Park, Downtown Norfolk, VA Waterfront

October 17 & 18, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.


Swirl vino from nearly 40 Virginia wineries! Then make sure you check out their new Wine Somm-inars hosted by Patrick Evans-Hylton! Learn how to swirl, pair wine and find tasting notes as the wine experts are there to guide you every step of the way.

Powhatan’s Festival of the Grape

October 24, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.


Discover your new favorite Virginia wine—or wine slushy—after tasting from 30 wineries! Among 100 arts and crafts vendors, you’ll find everything from jewelry to artisanal oils and vinegars! The afternoon wouldn’t be complete without live bands, face painting and regional cuisine!

Shenandoah Uncorked

The Yellow Barn, 470 Caverns Rd., Shenandoah Caverns, VA

November 14, 10 a.m–4:30 p.m.


Grab your glasses and sample from over 10 Virginia wineries! Pair your wine with tasty nosh like kettle corn, fried pies and cheese, of course. Along with craft and specialty vendors, even the little ones will enjoy themselves! Kids can expect hayrides, antique tractors and magic shows!

Thomas Jefferson Wine Festival

Poplar Forest, 1542 Bateman Bridge Rd., Forest, VA

November 21, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

Featuring 12 Virginia wineries, this annual festival also commemorates the 200th anniversary of General Andrew Jackson’s surprise visit to Poplar Forest in 1815. Join the actors portraying Thomas Jefferson and the General along with vintner Gabriele Rausse in this afternoon of celebration!
